Objective of the Game
The objective of Whazzle! is to find the hidden word among the random letters and spell it out in the top row

Columns may be swapped and the letters within the columns may be rotated
up and down. After the player has moved the letters to the desired locations, the
button can be clicked to reduce
the puzzle. Points will be added to the player's score for any reductions made to the puzzle.
If the player did not correctly guess the word, the turns remaining will be reduced by one and
the player will have the opportunity to guess again if they still have turns remaining. If
there are still further puzzles to play after the current puzzle ends, the
button will change into the
button.
Color Codes
The columns can be one of three colors: white, blue or green. Some of the letters in the columns may also be bolded.

The white columns indicate that the column is not in the correct position. These columns may be swapped with other white columns and the letters within the column can be rotated. Blue columns are in the correct location but the letter at the top of the column is not correct. Blue columns are locked in place and cannot be swapped with other columns. The letters in blue columns can still be rotated. Green columns have been solved and cannot be further manipulated. Only a single letter will appear in a green column. Bolded letters indicate the letters will be found somewhere in the solution.
Simplifying the Game Board
After the player has set up the game board to their satisfaction,
they click the
button
and the puzzle will reduce in complexity based on what letters appear at the top of
each column. If a letter at the top of the column is not found anywhere in the solution,
all occurences of that letter will disappear from the game board.

If the corret letter is at the top of the correct column, the column will reduce down to a single green letter.

If the correct letter appears at the top of an incorrect column, the column will swap with the correct column and it will reduce down to a single green letter.

Game Controls
Columns may be swapped on the game board by first touching/clicking a desired column. A circle will appear around the letter that was touched. Touching/clicking a second column will cause the two columns to swap locations.

If one of the columns is blue or green, the move will be cancelled.

If the second touch/click happens on the same column but different letter, the letters in the column will rotate.

Touching/clicking the same letter in the same column twice will cancel the move.

Scoring
The game goes through a five step evaluation after the
button is clicked.
Step 1: Columns in the correct locations.
All columns in the correct locations will be locked into place and a base score of
500 points per column will be given. The scores per column will increase based on
the number of columns locked into place.

Step 2: Correct letters at the top of locked columns.
If the correct letter appears at the top of a locked column, the column will be solved
and a base score of 100 points will be given for each remaining letter removed from
the column.

Step 3: Correct letters at the top of the wrong columns.
The correct column will be swapped into place and the correct letter rotated to the top.
This is called a chain event and adds bonuses to the base scores. Multiple chain events
can happen causing the player's score to be increased significantly!

After a chain event occurs, the scoring evaluation will go back to step 1. This loop wiil
continue until no more chain events occur.
Step 4: Letters that appear in the solution but are not in the correct location.
The letters will be bolded throughout the game board. No points are awarded for bolded letters.

Step 5: Letters that do not appear in the solution.
Any letters that are at the tops of the columns but do not appear anywhere in the solution
will be removed from the game board. A base score of 30 points will be awarded to the
player for every letter removed in this fashion.

Solving the puzzle: Score Multiplier.
Once the puzzle is solved, a score multiplier will be applied to the player's score
based on how many turns they have remaining. The score multiplier can be significant
if the puzzle is solved in a minimal number of turns.
